11-02-25 Why isn't Wall Street in Jail? // ¿Por qué no es Wall Street en la cárcel? // 为什么不是墙监狱街吗?

The Rolling Stone article below failed to dwell on one of the central features of the current financial crisis - collusion between US financial institutions and judges in both state and federal courts, as part of widespread corruption of the US justice system.

Financial crooks brought down the world's economy — but the feds are doing more to protect them than to prosecute them

"Criminal justice, as it pertains to the Goldmans and Morgan Stanleys of the world, is not adversarial combat, with cops and crooks duking it out in interrogation rooms and courthouses. Instead, it's a cocktail party between friends and colleagues..."

  1. We have a broken justice system. If you have money you can get away with anything. The boot licker GoP loyalists seem to not mind that at all. 2 Americas, one for the real Americans that get raped in the courts and one for the top 1 percent.

  4. "Yup, and democraps too. Look at what Obama"

I'm not talking these ones in power, there is no left and right when yuou are at the top 1% elite. Once you cross that threshold you are subject to no one and Justice means nothing.

I am talking about the bottom 99.2% of us, Real Americans, you will not see any GoP loyalists as active in fighting the justice system as everyone else center and left of them.

You don't see any from the right demanding real justice to any of these rich crooks, all the outrage is from everyone but them. They only sit back and mock the rest of our outrage, because that's all they know. It would be a cold day in hell before a far right loyalist signed a petition or registered on a website demanding justice if that movement had a strong left following.

  5. I hear ya.
There is disgust with both parties as far as I'm concerned. They either cater to the lower class or they both cater to the top 10% and no one for the middle class. But, I'm a actions speak louder than words kind of guy. And I see Obama talking a good game the whole while his hands are wet with the ink from signing all the bailouts used for bonuses.

  9. Money in politics is the death nail for our country. The entire election and campaign process need to be scraped for a better one.

  10. If you guys ever want to take back the country, the first thing to do is take back control of the debate system. I believe it was after Ross Perot scared the crap out of everyone that the parties took control of the debates leading up to elections. Remember how they got rid of Ron Paul last cycle? No one that wants to reign in Wall St or the Fed would ever get into the later stages of the debates unless it was just a complete blow out in the polls. And that will never happen.

  11. 'No left and right' . Spot on! We all get voting fever when the time is right, thinking we make a difference etc. The joke's on us. We're either rich or we're fucked. Democracy is an illusion.

  12. Half the evil, sociopathic bastards in Wall Street and Washington ought to be hung upside down, tarred and feathered and kicked from office into Siberian exile. For crimes against the American economy and people.

  14. Yep. It's both political parties. There's no left or right, just greed, the extremely rich and those tying to scrape by, with the buffer zone middle class dropping off like flies into the scraping by level daily.
I've heard a lot of you guys say the class war is a Marxist myth.
    It's not.
    It's real.
    And the rich are winning.

And to top it off they've got the majority of Americans actually believing unions are now the bad guys, not corporations or GMs and CEOs or Wall Street thieves, it's the greedy employees, they tell us, the union fight in Wisconsin is all about greedy teachers, greedy workers, greedy unions.
    Fuck me.
They actually have the little people believing little people shouldn't have the right to organize and be strong like them and curry favor with big government. No, that won't do. Only big wigs can hob nob with kings. Hmmn hmmn.
That's why they hate unions. We pool our money and organize and hire slick talking lawyers like they have and bitchin accountants like they have and lobbies like they have and guess fucking what .... we have POWER LIKE THEY HAVE!
    AND THEY HATE IT!
And they want us to hate them too.
Watch, they'll abolish unions soon enough, or weaken them so much they're ineffectual.
And they'll have most of us agreeing it's even the right thing to do.

    Baa baa.

All comments are welcome... especially any tips regarding corruption of the courts in Los Angeles. Anonymous tips are fine. One simple way to do it is from internet cafes, etc.
