11-04-16 Chatting with the US Marshals… Fool me once… etc.

Mutual interest, but some basic difficulties in
communication…

Los Angeles, April 16 – Human Rights Alert (NGO) and Joseph Zernik, PhD, released excerpts from an email chat with Deputy Marshal Darcy Smith, District Threat Unit, Central District of California.

The communications demonstrated some common interests by the parties. However, there also seemed to be some basic level of miscommunication:

* The Deputy Marshal preferred phone communications, while Dr Zernik preferred written communications;

* For reasons that were not detailed, the Deputy Marshal claimed the Dr Zernik had fooled her in the past, and

* Dr Zernik seemed unhappy about lack of appreciation by the US Marshals for his efforts for the common good.

In case you have any further questions on the subject, I would be happy to provide answers.

There are not enough hours in the day to cover all the cases that people approach me about...

Written communications are more reliable, less amenable to manipulations.

You underestimate the efforts.  Publishing on the internet is only part of it.  Combined with publications in peer-reviewed scholarly journals, presentations in academic conferences, communications with international bodies and leading world experts, it is time consuming, but I find it a worthy effort for the common good...

  1. Why is an indictment not required before any U.S. Marshall involvement?

All comments are welcome... especially any tips regarding corruption of the courts in Los Angeles. Anonymous tips are fine. One simple way to do it is from internet cafes, etc.
