Joseph Zernik David Rojas: Nope. Israeli media also report the destruction of olive trees by Jewish settlers on a routine basis. Some incidents are hundreds of trees at a time, others thousands of trees at a time. And although IDF has surveillance drones and balloons up in the air all the time, they never seem to be able to catch the culprits... About a year ago, the Palestinians published an estimate that the number of trees, destroyed since 1967, is by now close to a million. I ran it by Haaretz journalists, and was told the number is probably close... Here I was being conservative, so I wrote hundreds of thousands...
