Los Angeles, May 7 - UCLA Law School Professor Richard Steinberg, Director of the Sanela Diana Jenkins Human Rights Law Project, has been asked to provide a legal ethics opinion. [[i]]
UCLA Law Prof Richard Steinberg is uniquely qualified to address questions of criminal justice and Human Rights in Los Angeles County, California
The requested opinion pertains to response, or lack thereof, by the Anti Defamation League (ADL) National Director Abraham Foxman, on request for ADL's opinion regarding alleged public corruption and racketeering in the courts by key figures in the Los Angeles Jewish-Legal community.
In his request, Joseph Zernik, PhD, of Human Rights Alert (NGO) notes that Prof Steinberg is uniquely qualified to address the question, given that he is a law professor, with special interests in criminal justice and Human Rights, and most likely also a resident of Los Angeles County, California.
The Project's mission is "to advance the cause of human rights and international justice around the world."
ADL was asked to opine on alleged racketeering in the courts by leading figures in the Los Angeles Legal-Jewish community
Dr Zernik has recently filed a request with Mr Abraham Foxman, National Director of the Anti Defamation League (ADL), for ADL's opinion regarding alleged public corruption and racketeering in the courts by leading figures of the Los Angeles Jewish-Legal community. The allegations pertain to current and former officers of BET TZEDEK - the Los Angeles "HOUSE OF JUSTICE", an affiliate organization of the Greater Los Angeles Jewish Federation. [[ii],[iii]]
Dr Zernik has expressed his concern that his writing, and the positions held by such individuals, are likely to lead people to conclude that the Los Angeles Jewish community holds in high esteem, or even as its leaders, individuals, who represent the worst in any civil society - individuals who are engaged in corruption of the courts and violation of Human Rights. Moreover, Dr Zernik has pointed out the large number of readers of his writings.
In order to remove any doubts on such important matter, and knowing that ADL has a good-size legal department and considerable resources, Dr Zernik has requested a formal opinion by ADL on these allegations. With the letter, large volume of evidence has been provided to ADL.
ADL's stated mission is "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all."
The allegations pertain to senior officers of Bet Tzedek, the House of Justice, and are supported by opinions of fraud experts of the highest reputation
Terry Friedman
The allegations are supported by opinions of fraud experts of the highest reputation, and are part of conduct that was opined in the 2010 Human Rights Council of the United Nations as "corruption of the courts and the legal profession in California". [[iv]]
Over the past several years, Dr Zernik has often written, published online, and distributed by email to a large recipient list materials, which may be deemed by some as defamatory of key Jewish organizations in Los Angeles, California:
- BET TZEDEK, the "HOUSE OF JUSTICE", and
- THE GREATER LOS ANGELES JEWISH FEDERATION, with whom it is affiliated.
- SANDOR SAMUELS, current and former President;
- DAVID PASTERNAK, former President (possibly current member of the Board of Directors)
- TERRY FRIEDMAN, former Executive Director.
- AMERICAN JEWISH UNIVERSITY, LOS ANGELES
- ZIEGLER SCHOOL OF RABBINIC STUDIES
- SHALHEVET SCHOOL
- ADAT ARI EL SYNAGOGUE, VALLEY VILLAGE

Try telling the truth instead of misleading people. "A United Nations Human Rights report refers to "corruption of the courts and the legal profession in California"." The TRUTH is that you people submitted a 'report' to the UN during their human rights review of the US...the acknowledged receiving it...THAT WAS IT. The UN IGNORED your wacky content without comment when their final report was issued.
tell the people that YOU are Joseph Zernik, PhD, of Human Rights Alert (NGO), and stop referring to yourself in the third person. So you asked this guy to provide a legal ethics opinion on something. SO THE FUCK WHAT? Has he even answered you?? This is not news, and you are off your rocker. Less..

@gregsto
You did not get it right.
Some 103 organizations filed reports. Most were ignored. The Human Rights Alert submission was specifically mentioned in the UN Staff Report, one of the official records of the review, with reference to "corruption of the courts and the legal profession and discrimination by law enforcement in California". That summary was worded by the UN Staff Report authors, and was NOT part of the Human Rights Alert submission.

Dear dankmofo: I still doubt that you have good understanding of Human Rights. The Human Rights Alert submission to the United Nations, which was incorporated into the UN Staff Report focused on conditions in Los Angeles County, California:
1) Large-scale false imprisonment, particularly of the Rampart FIPs (Falsely Imprisoned Persons)- victims of the Rampart court corruption scandal, who were never released, a decade later.
2) Real estate and financial institution fraud in the courts.
Based on your past comments, I realize that you do not consider these issues part of Human Rights. However, as I pointed out to you in the past, it was the US, which introduced the Universal Declaration of Human Rights into international law in 1948. The duty of national governments to maintain honest courts and fair hearings, and safeguard the rights of liberty and possession feature prominently in the Declaration. Less..

You are on the right track:
1) Two lectures on corruption of the state and US courts were accepted for the World Criminology Congress, Kobe, Japan - August, 2011.
2) A full research paper and a lecture, pertaining to fraud in the computers of the US Courts - PACER and CM/ECF, are pending review for one of the world's largest computer science meetings, ICIS 2011, Shangahi,China - December, 2011.

I think its funny how some people try to relate this to rape,mutilating,killing with no trail, for ever oppressing other governments of the world.................

@dankmofo
Dear dankmofo:
* Executions take place in the United States, under circumstances that the rest of the world would consider far from Due Process.
* Corruption of the courts in California was related to killing, torture, long term false imprisonment in the cases of thousands of Rampart FIPs (Falsely Imprisoned Persons). The US government refuses to take action to release them, over a decade after the case was exposed.
* Denial of the right for possession was one of the triggers for the American Revolution. You seem to believe that robbing the people through corrupt courts and financial corporations is no violation of Human Rights.
