Stuff the Banks: UK Uncut and Direct Action, part 2

Some pictures of UK Uncut’s latest direct action, as promised!
UK Uncut’s latest day of actions took place on Saturday 20th July, with 13 HSBC branches being targeted up and down the country. As I reported in a previous post UK Uncut had decided to transform HSBC branches into food banks, to highlight the fact that whilst corporations are getting away with avoiding paying billions in tax, 500,000 austerity-hit citizens around the UK are now dependent on food banks to starve of hunger. The following pictures are taken from the action on Regent Street, where HSBC decided to close at 1130 in anticipation of the action, although they normally remain open between 1000 and 1500 on Saturdays. Campaigners later walked to another HSBC branch on Oxford Street and forced their closure too.
