14-03-15 US: Fun and travel under the rogue regime //

===14-03-15 US: Fun and travel under the rogue regime //
As detailed in the article below, the No-Flight, Terrorist Watchlist is compiled with no Due Process, and there is no notice, or appeal mechanism.  The outcome is extreme repression of Free Speech. And speech, exposing judicial corruption, is a particularly risky business in the United States today!
___
OccupyTLV, March 15 - months before I escaped from the US, a friend in Washington DC sent me notice that he was investigated by the Secret Service about his email correspondence with me. He was under the impression that I was on the No-Flight, Terrorist Watchlist.
Therefore, when a total stranger (a US citizen living in exile in Belgium)  warned me that he had read my blog on judicial corruption in California, and based on his experience, I must prepare my escape routes, I assumed that I would not be able to fly.  I prepared accordingly.
Managing to escape was no coincidence, it was part of careful preparation... Other anti-judicial corruption activists in the United States, with whom I collaborated, did not fare so well! [1]
The attempts to apprehend me took place in April 2010, days before the deadline for the first-ever review of Human Rights in the United States by the Human Rights Council of the United Nations.  Regardless of the duress, I managed to get the report out, and it was incorporated into the 2010 UN report on the United States with the note: "Corruption of the courts and the legal profession and discrimination by law enforcement in California". [2-4]
Federal Agent Darcy Smith, who was in charge of my case, wrote to me an email after my escape: "Fool me once, shame on you... "
The weather in Tel Aviv is not as good as it is in LA (especially in the summer), but life is full of compromises... :)

===Are You on a Terrorist Watchlist Because of a Clerical Error? Good Luck Getting Off.===

WatchlistACLU/Jen SorensenIt would truly suck to end up on some mysterious government list for no clear reason, to be placed under scrutiny. lose freedom, job prospects, and mobility—with no clear process for getting yourself off the roster. Unfortunately, that's the situation in the United States today. Americans can end up on terrorism watchlists because they fit some unknown profile, or even because of malice, or mistake. That's happened to all too many people who, reports the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), subsequently found that it was damned near impossible to clear their names.
