“For over a decade, the courts have been abusing this justice advocate”
OccupyTLV, July 19 - a crowd of dozen is waiting outside the courtroom
of Judge Daniel Beeri, Tel-Aviv Magistrate Court, and many guards are on
duty.
Today, senior Tax Authority manager Rafi Amiel is going to take stand. The Tax Authority whistle-blower Rafi Rotem filed corruption complaints against Amiel, among others.
The Israeli justice system has refused to investigate the corruption complaints for over a decade. Instead, for over two years, the Tel-Aviv Police has been prosecuting whistle-blower Rotem (in Israel police prosecutes!) on “insulting public service personnel”, and asks for his imprisonment.
According to hearsay, Amiel posted a message in Wassup, asking the Tax Authority employees to appear in court today to show their support...
Already two years ago, the affair was described in Israeli media: “For over a decade, the courts have been abusing this justice advocate”. [1]

מאהל המחאה ת"א, 19 ליולי - קהל של עשרות אנשים עומד מחוץ לאולם השופט דניאל בארי, בית המשפט השלום, ת"א, ושומרים רבים שומרים על האולם.
היום מעיד בכיר ברשות המסים רפי עמיאל, שנגדו הגיש רותם תלונות על שחיתות.
על פי השמועה, רפי עמיאל שלח הודעה בווטספ לאנשי רשות המסים להופיע היום בבית המשפט להביע תמיכה בו.
כבר לפני שנתיים תוארה פרשה זאת - "כבר עשור שבתי המשפט מתעמרים בלוחם הצדק". [1]
