13-02-14 Prisoner X - rule of law, or lack thereof in Israel

More and more information is becoming available, after cover up and censorship last ditch efforts by Prime Minister Netanyahu failed.
Haaretz today deals primarily with the failure of securities agencies in this matter.  However, the most alarming failure in this case is of the Israeli justice system and the rule of law in the State of Israel.
Israel differs in this respect from the United States:
In Israel, the official version is that no such things as secret prisoners are permitted.  In the United States, such fundamental Human Rights have been abandoned over the past decade, as part of the abandonment of the Magna Carta (and US Constitution) protections against deprivation of life, liberty and property with no due process of law.

Prisoner X affair: A classic story of Israeli failure
This story is not about Ben Zygier's double identity, it's about how Israel's most sensitive government agencies are not functioning, writes Amir Oren. If indeed the reports are correct, and the Mossad was indeed involved, it shows the State of Israel still doesn't control the basics.
