13-10-04 US: Robber Baron Revival Era

The period in the US, encompassing the late 19th century and early 20th century, was named by Howard Zinn "The Robber Baron Era".  Americans were robbed silly by the railroad companies and the banks, who were effectively above the law.  Our period is a repeat of that time.  jz
