2015-08-20 ISRAEL: The Supreme Court and routines of the occupation
===========================
Israel Hayom, Netanyahu's propaganda organ, sponsored by Sheldon Adelson, today blasts the Supreme Court for its decision in the matter of huger striking, Palestinian detainee Muhammad Alaan.
The opinion piece says that the Supreme Court speaks both sides of its mouth, in the strange decision, which "freezes" the detention with no trial of Alaan. According to the decision, Alaan is to remain under care and observation in the Israeli hospital where he is now in critical condition. If his condition improves - his detention may be renewed. If his condition deteriiorates, or becomes irreversible, his detention is to be terminated.
* If Alaan is no longer detained, why does he remain in State custody?
* If he is detained, what is the meaning of of the detention "freeze", if any?
One must agree with this opinion, which reflects conduct of the Supreme Court for decades, in face of the occupation of Palestine. The court effectively provides the fig leaf for the policies of the occuapation, while trying to provide them with the color of law for internatinonal appearance.
