2016-08-28 SYRIA - New York Times explains it all...
===========================
Today: "A paradox in Syria: Why the civil conflict only only seems to get worse" - a uniquely misleading "New Analysis" piece by Max Fisher. The caption of the picture here, from Damascus, says in the paper edition, "...Many of the reasons the war seems intractable have to do with foreign interventions that were intended to end it." In the online edition: " The average civil war now lasts about a decade, twice as long as Syria’s so far."
But then again, when I tried to figure out more about NYT "Analyst" Max Fisher, I note that he has won unique distinctions, like: "nothing more than ornamented stenographers of power.
I can't believe that I was a paid subscriber of the NYT for decades... :)
