The visitbility and readership numbers of postings, which were critical of banksters and the judiciary in both the US and Israel were manipulated for some years. On the background of the ongoing US government shutdown, we expect this weekend a truckers rebelion, veteran bikers march on DC, and countermeasures by the Department of Homeland Security.
All of it begins to eeerily resemble events of the Bonus Army (1931) during the Great Depression.

In 1932, unemployed veterans marched on Washington, DC demanding payment of a bonus due in the future. The "bonus marchers" were routed by the military on orders of President Hoover. The idea of World War I veterans who had come home as heroes being confronted by the army was a national shock and doomed whatever hope Hoover had for reelection.

Dick Cheney is ready to laugh about waterboarding.
Conservatives gathered at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan Monday night to roast the former vice president at an event where many of the biggest laugh lines touched on the most controversial policies of a key architect of his administration’s war on terror. At the gathering, hosted by Commentary, figures including former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and former Attorney General Michael Mukasey drew a mix of chuckles and winces with jokes that left few lines uncrossed, according to three guests.
Senator Joe Lieberman “said something to the effect that it’s nice that we’re all here at the Plaza instead of in cages after some war crimes trial,” recalled one person who was there.

As this article points out, all of the bluefin tuna being caught now have spent their entire lives exposed to radioactive water. If you didn’t hear the warning a year ago, please hear it now.

    Every bluefin tuna tested in the waters off California has shown to be contaminated with radiation that originated in Fukushima. Every single one.

    Over a year ago, in May of 2012, the Wall Street Journal reported on a Stanford University study. Daniel Madigan, a marine ecologist who led the study, was quoted as saying, “The tuna packaged it up (the radiation) and brought it across the world’s largest ocean. We were definitely surprised to see it at all and even more surprised to see it in every one we measured.”

    Another member of the study group, Marine biologist Nicholas Fisher at Stony Brook University in New York State reported, “We found that absolutely every one of them had comparable concentrations of cesium 134 and cesium 137.”

13-10-09 Partying in Occupy Tel Aviv

As is the case in Occupy camps elsewhere, we have here a core of social protest activists with assortment of homeless and other persons with various problems, or just vagabonds.
This week, we are blessed with guests from the US and Russia, who cheer us up.
For dinner we had home made liquer, by Sergei, made from dates, growing in the park.  Irena prepared a wonderful soup, Jesse prepared babagnoush, and after dinner, Sasha sang Bob Marley in English and Russian.
