Large police forces were in place, all roads were blocked. The issuance by the Court of a temporary restraining order
did not stop the authorities. Several dozen families were left homeless, their tents and huts were leveled. Only the cemetery, documenting that the Bedouins have lived here for many decades, and the mosque tent was spared so far., The make shift mosque tower was demolished. The Israeli government is trying to evict Bedouins from villages they inhabited for at least a century, well before the establishment of the State of Israel, claiming that they have no rights on the land.
A previous attempt failed, thanks to major effort by activists.

The Israeli Medical Association clarified its position, in accordance with international law, that forced feeding is torture. The position of the Israeli Medical Association stands in stark contrast with the position of the Israeli government, which is pushing to "legalize" forced feeding in Israel, to break the current hunger strike, reaching a crisis level.
Position of the Israeli Medical Association also stands in stark contrast with the conduct of doctors in the United States, which collude in torture in GITMO and elsewhere.
