Are you suggesting that Time magazine is "far left"? Or is it some claim by Stengel that you consider "far left"?
- Regarding the question itself: "Does the US Constitution still matter?" It is obviously a very relevant today. My opinion is that it matters very little, as evidenced in too many ways to detail. [i]
- Regarding the image, which may have upset you: It is all about selling more copies of the issue... And it surely falls within Free Speech.
- Regarding the essay by Stengel: I find it a typical Time magazine lollypop. "Today's debates represent conflict, not crisis." My opinion is that the legal foundation of the US government in the US Constitution is in a crisis that has never been seen at least since the Civil War.
