The requested opinion pertains to response, or lack thereof, by the Anti Defamation League (ADL) National Director Abraham Foxman, on request for ADL's opinion regarding alleged public corruption and racketeering in the courts by key figures in the Los Angeles Jewish-Legal community.
In his request, Joseph Zernik, PhD, of Human Rights Alert (NGO) notes that Prof Steinberg is uniquely qualified to address the question, given that he is a law professor, with special interests in criminal justice and Human Rights, and most likely also a resident of Los Angeles County, California.
The Project's mission is "to advance the cause of human rights and international justice around the world."
ADL was asked to opine on alleged racketeering in the courts by leading figures in the Los Angeles Legal-Jewish community
Dr Zernik has recently filed a request with Mr Abraham Foxman, National Director of the Anti Defamation League (ADL), for ADL's opinion regarding alleged public corruption and racketeering in the courts by leading figures of the Los Angeles Jewish-Legal community. The allegations pertain to current and former officers of BET TZEDEK - the Los Angeles "HOUSE OF JUSTICE", an affiliate organization of the Greater Los Angeles Jewish Federation. [[ii],[iii]]
Dr Zernik has expressed his concern that his writing, and the positions held by such individuals, are likely to lead people to conclude that the Los Angeles Jewish community holds in high esteem, or even as its leaders, individuals, who represent the worst in any civil society - individuals who are engaged in corruption of the courts and violation of Human Rights. Moreover, Dr Zernik has pointed out the large number of readers of his writings.
In order to remove any doubts on such important matter, and knowing that ADL has a good-size legal department and considerable resources, Dr Zernik has requested a formal opinion by ADL on these allegations. With the letter, large volume of evidence has been provided to ADL.
ADL's stated mission is "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all."
The allegations pertain to senior officers of Bet Tzedek, the House of Justice, and are supported by opinions of fraud experts of the highest reputation

What is missing is the big picture and historic perspective...
As far as Los Angeles County is concerned:
- The first turning point was in the early 1980's, when someone in the US government decided to direct the operation of CIA drug trafficking to Los Angeles County, California (part of the Iran-Contra Scandal). Effectively, it rendered the county an extra-constitutional zone. It also required collusion by all state and US justice agencies in undermining the law.
- The second turning point was the Rampart scandal (1998-2000), when it turned out that LAPD followed suit, and was by then in fact the drug purveyor to the county. The scandal also showed that the courts were directly involved in the illicit drug marketing, through the large-scale false imprisonment of innocent people as the drug dealers. By that time, the federal agencies could not say a word, and only colluded in the cover up.
- The third turning point started in the early 2000's, when the courts shifted their primary racketeering efforts to mortgage and real estate fraud in collusion with Countrywide, which was based in LA County. It was at least in part the outcome of banking deregulation by the US government. By the early 2000's LA County was already recognized by FBI as "Fraud Capital, USA" and in official reports as "the epicenter of the epidemic of real estate and mortgage fraud".
- The fourth turning point started 2008, with the collapse of Countrywide, and the initiation of fraudulent foreclosures in the courts.
Such detailed information is not available for the rest of the US, perhaps New York and Chicago (Cook County) may have comparable data. However, the big picture trend is similar across the United States.

By the time this article sees print, Georgia will almost certainly have set an execution date - his fourth - for Troy Anthony Davis, a black man who was condemned to death for killing a white Savannah police officer in 1989.
Having exhausted his court appeals, Davis may well end his life strapped down to Georgia's death gurney. But if the criminal justice system allows this execution to go forward, it will commit one of the gravest miscarriages of justice in American history - an abomination facilitated without a word of explanation by the United States Supreme Court.
A review of the evidence by a researcher on capital punishment led ineluctably to two conclusions:

Accordingly he filed a criminal complaint with FBI and the US Attorney Office in Los Angeles, alleging public corruption and racketeering in the courts.
"The first Unwritten Rule of Court," according to Dr Zernik, is "An honest judgment may at times be overturned in appeal, a corrupt one - Never!" The reason is simple, the corrupt judgments are never entered, and the courts of appeal have no jurisdiction in such judgments to begin with.
The conduct of pretense appeals from pretense judgments, which were never entered, is not unique to the California courts either. The US courts routinely engage in the same practice as well: [[v]]
In view of the widespread corruption of the justice system Phil Stimac of California has recently proposed a National Mandamus Project. Stimac propose asking members of the United States Supreme Court through writs of mandate to compel Circuit Court Chief Judges and court personnel to investigate, act on, and disseminate information about judicial misconduct. Stimac claims that the judges and clerks have a prescribed duty in this regard, based on their Oaths of Office. [[vi]]

Los Angeles, May 5 - In Lomas v Bank of America (KC059379), in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Plaintiff Susan Lomas tried to protect her rights against alleged fraud by Bank of America and others in foreclosure procedures.

The litigation was previously opined by Joseph Zernik, PhD, of Human Rights Alert (NGO) as Fraud on the Court through collusion of BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION, California Judge PETER J MEEKA, and Clerk of the Court JOHN A CLARKE, aimed to dispossess Lomas, while denying her due process and access to an honest court: [[i]]
- Judge Meeka secretly noted the proceedings in the case as "off of the record".
- Plaintiff Lomas was and is denied access to the Register of Actions (California civil docket) in her own case.
- The minutes in the case were neither certified by the Clerk of the Court, nor served on the parties.
- The Court falsely listed Disqualification for a Cause of Judge Meeka as "Peremptory".

- Under "Parties and Attorney" Mark V Asdourian is listed as Attorney for Bank of America, although he, Bank of America, and its President Brian Moynihan refuse to state that Asdourian is Attorney of Record for Bank of America in this case.
- Under "Trial Court", "Judgment Date" is listed as April 14, 2011, although there is no record to document that a judgment or any appealable order was ever entered in this case, in the manner required by the California Code of Civil Procedure. The online records fail to list any "Date of Entry of Judgment".

- In Galdjie v Darwish the California Court of Appeals, 2nd District, went one step further, and purported to establish as lawful "oral modifications" of real estate contracts.
