A classic tale of the LAPD. It brings to mind the fate of Rafael Perez, who broke the "code of silence" in the Rampart Scandal (1998-2000), the largest court corruption scandal in the history of the United States.
It also reminds me of the case of 70 year old, former US prosecutor Richard Fine, who was falsely held in solitary confinement for 18 months (2009-2010) by Sheriff Lee Baca. Richard Fine exposed the payment of "bribes" (also called "not permitted" payments") to all Los Angeles judges, which required the signing by California governor of "pardons" (also called "Retroactive Immunities") to all judges.
Funny, it reminds me a bit of my case with the US Marshals, in April 2008... I was circulating final drafts of my intended submission to the UN Human Rights Council first-ever review of Human Rights in Los Angeles County, including large-scale fraud in the electronic records of the US District Court, Central District of California, Los Angeles. To this date, I am not sure how I managed to get out of that mess live and free...
In my case, the US Marshals did not shoot the neighbors, but they carried arms in a manner that scared the neighbors enough, that when I came back, the neighbors demanded that I turn my self in, to prevent shooting in the area and harm to innocent people...
The immediate silencing of whistleblowers or "Truthers", as they are sometimes called today, has been the norm in the United States for years now.
Three best recent examples:
- Joshua Schwartz - deceased
- Bradley Manning - confined
- Julian Assange - restricted

Wanted: Dead, Not Alive: The LAPD is Afraid of What Renegade Cop Chris Dorner has to Say
The LAPD has proved that it doesn't want to capture rogue cop Chris Dorner, it wants him killed and silenced, says TCBH! journalist Dave Lindorff, who has had experienced with the LAPD
California is obsessed with a real-life crime drama, the story of a disaffected former Los Angeles police officer suspected of killing three people. Now the subject of a massive manhunt, the ex-cop has turned to Facebook to detail his grievances.
If Chris Dorner is killed before going to trial, it may be because he's suicidal and forces a shootout, but it also may be that Obama's policy will have had a role in his being killed. And if not Dorner, then certainly others-- in the US and outside. Obama's drone assassination policy has changed the rules for a lot of people, even though those rules have not been ratified by any legislatures or courts.
