Over the past few days, rumors of US and related currency instability are all over the place, including the joint US-UK "drill" of banking system collapse...
Rumors are nothing new.
But when I tried to go to one of these rumor sites from Israel, I got the following message, which I have never encountered before:

- If you notice, the original report regarding the joint US-UK drill for banking collapse came from "Russia Today". I believe that it has not been reproted in any Israeli media. Obviousy Russia is interested in undermining the stability of US banks, an intergral and central part of Cold War 2.0. But reliable media outlets mirrored the report, which should be considered truthful...

יו"ר הכנסת יולי אדלשטיין התראיין הבוקר ברדיו ויצא במתקפת איומים חריפה (ספק היסטרית) על מיזם השקיפות האזרחי של העיתונאי תומר אביטל: "מאה ימים של שקיפות". תזכורת: המיזם גייס למעלה מ- 160 אלף שקל מ- 1600 אזרחים לצרכי הפעלת מערך פיקוח, בקרה ומעקב אחר חברי כנסת ובפרט נגד ח"כים סרבני שקיפות. אלה שאוהבים את המחשכים.
על פי פרסום באתר של ערוץ 7, אדלשטיין אמר הבוקר:
"אם מישהו מהקבוצה הזאת שומע אותי כרגע, אני אומר 'חבר'ה תפסיקו לפני שיהיה מאוחר מידי, כי אם מישהו מכם יגיע גם לבית משפט ולמעצר וימצא את עצמו באזיקים, אני לא אבכה'. יש גבול לכל דבר".
אדלשטיין, שלא מצא דרך הגיונית אחת להסביר מדוע הוא מתנגד למיזם לקידום השקיפות נתן סיפור הזוי ותלוש כצידוק, ואז המשיך לאיים:
"אני אומר לחברים האלה שעוד מגייסים לזה כסף ועושים לזה פעילות, שכל מי שיהיה מעורב אני אדאג שלכנסת הוא לא יכנס... חברים, מי שמאזין לי, תשימו לזה קץ בעצמכם, כי אני אשים לזה קץ".
תומר אביטל מסר בתגובה בכתבה:
"אני שמח שהמיזם מעורר שיח על שקיפות - זו מטרתו הראשונה. אני גם רוצה להדגיש שאילו הח״כים לא היו משמידים הצעות חוק בסיסיות בנושא אז לא היינו מקיימים את השיחה הזו. המציאות היום היא בלתי נתפסת: נבחרי ציבור מחזיקים בסתר מניות, מגבשים ומצביעים בסתר על מדיניות ואין לנו אפילו מושג לגבי החופשות שהם לוקחים - אף שהציבור הוא המעסיק שלהם.
"זה מצב אבסורדי שמחייב אמצעים אבסורדיים. תגובת יושב ראש הכנסת יולי אדלשטיין - אותו אני מכבד מאוד - חושפת את עמדתם האמיתית של הח"כים. הם מפחדים מהרגע שקרני השמש ישזפו את לוח הזמנים שלהם. מה יש להם להסתיר?

אז מה בעצם קורה כאן?
אדלשטיין מנסה להפחיד את העיתונאי והפעיל תומר אביטל (מעצר, אזיקים, מניעת כניסה לכנסת) ואת האזרחים האחרים שמצטרפים ליוזמה - כדי לעצור אותה. הוא קורא לכולנו בעצם "עבריינים" למרות שאיש לא עבר על החוק וגם אין בכוונת איש לעבור על החוק. אדלשטיין מאיים כדי להפחיד.
אבל אדלשטיין גם מספר לנו בדבריו ההיסטריים, שהם מפחדים. הם פשוט מפחדים שנדע מה הם באמת עושים. ואם ככה הם נשמעים - סימן שלחצנו בדיוק על הנקודה הכואבת. שקיפות.
אז מסר קצר ליו"ר הכנסת ולכל חברי הכנסת: למעלה מ- 1600 אזרחים הרימו יוזמה עם מסר פשוט - שקיפות בכנסת. אנחנו נדהמים מהאיומים שלך ורוצים רק לדעת: מה יש לכם להסתיר???
