WikiLeaks said Thursday it was publishing over two million emails from Syrian political figures dating back to 2006 but also covering the period of the crackdown on dissent by Syria's regime.

12-07-06 Unannounced regime change in Israel - the Electronic Signatures Act (2001) and the Biometric Database Act (2009)

The Biometric Database Act (2009) was and is fiercely opposed by experts as “a step to a true police state” and as transition to a "post-democratic" regime.  Little noticed, unannoucned regime change had already taken place in Israel in the early 2000s with the passage and implementation of the Electronic Signature Act (2001), the Regulations of the Courts - Offices of the Clerks (2004), and new electronic record systems in the courts.  Integrity of the electronic records of the courts and other legal public records was undermined.  MEIR SHITRIT, YORAM HACOHEN, and AMIT ASHKENAZI were and are central to conduct related both to the Electronic Signatures Act (2001) and Biometric Database Act (2009). Given the involvement of senior officers of all three branches of government in this conduct, a Truth and Reconciliation Commission appears as the only plausible solution.

Jerusalem, July 6 - The Biometric Database Act (2009) permits the government of the State of Israel to initiate the construction of a comprehensive database of personal IDs, linked to fingerprints and facial biometric photographs of all residents of the State of Israel.  The database could be used for access control, for surveillance, and for other police purposes.  The Act was and is fiercely opposed by experts and Human Rights advocates in Israel. In recent years, government's personal information databases in Israel have been repeatedly compromised. The Act was described in Israel as “a step to a true police state” and as transition to a "post-democratic" regime. [1]
Little noticed, unannounced regime change had already taken place in Israel in the early 2000s with the passage and implementation of the Electronic Signature Act (2001), the new Regulations of the Courts -  Office of the Clerk (2004), and the concurrent implementation of new electronic record systems in the courts of the State of Israel: [2]

• The Electronic Signature Act (2001) established certified digital signatures for State officers and attorneys appearing in courts, and prescribed that a Magistrate Judge be appointed by the Minister of Justice, holding the office of "Registrar of Certifying Authorities", to oversee the implementation of the database of certified digital signatures.  However, Freedom of Information response by the Ministry of Justice states that no individual was appointed for a full decade, until 2011, to hold that office.  Regardless, individuals appeared in the intervening years as "Registrar of Certifying Authorities" and conducted business on behalf of that office, promulgated guidelines, filed annual reports with the legislature (Knesset) and engaged in enforcement, all with no lawful authority. Through such conduct, COMSIGN Corporation was established as the sole certifying authority of certified digital signatures of the State of Israel.  With it, the digital seal of the State of Israel was effectively hijacked. [3]
• New electronic record systems were concurrently implemented in the courts of the State of Israel.  The 2010 State Ombudsman's Report 60b [4] documents that the systems were developed and implemented in violation of State law and regulations:
  • The systems were developed with no specifications
  • Development of the systems was delegated to corporations with no bidding (US-based corporations, IBM and EDS, were involved in this project)
  • Development was conducted with no core supervision by State employees
  • The systems were received with no independent testing by the State client.
  • The servers, holding the records of the courts of the State of Israel were removed to corporate grounds, and are not under State control. 
• The Regulations of the Court - Office of the Clerk (2004) were amended in 2005, in conjunction with implementation of the new electronic record systems in the courts. The amendment permitted the Director of Administration of Courts to modify the Regulations as necessary in the process of implementing the systems. [5]  The Director of the Administration of Courts has never published the modification that were introduced in the Regulations under such authority, and the Administration of Courts refuses to answer on any Freedom of Information requests, pertaining to the electronic record systems. [2]

One of the notable features of the new electronic record systems is neither a single visible certified digital signature, pursuant to the Electronic Signature Act (2001), nor a single certified server has been discovered in recent review of thousands of public legal records.  [3]  All decisions of the Supreme Court are now published as electronic record, unsigned and uncertified, subject to "editing and phrasing changes", and the Supreme Court refuses to duly serve its decisions on parties to litigation. [2]
In parallel, the Human Rights Alert (NGO) 2012 report [2] documents the proliferation of simulated records in the Supreme Court of the State of Israel, conduct of simulated review of cases before the court, [6] and fraud in certification of decisions of Supreme Court by the Chief Clerk of the Supreme Court. [7] Falsification of records in the District Court in Tel Aviv was documented by the Israel Bar Association [8], and falsification of records in the Detainees Courts was reported by Haaretz daily. [9]
Separately, the Administration of Courts denied a Freedom of Information request for the appointment records of the Chief Clerk of the Supreme Court, claiming that is was a "record of internal deliberation." [2]
Several individuals, appearing under various titles,  were and are central to both to the fraud in implementation of the Electronic Signature Act (2001) and passage and implementation of Biometric Database Act (2009):

1) Meir Shitrit

- 2001-3 - Minister of Justice,  signed Electronic Signature Act (2001) and oversaw the first couple of years of its implementation;

- 2009-11 - Chair of the Justice and Technology Committee, championed the passage of the Biometric Database Act (2009).

2) Yoram HaCohen

- Head of the Justice, Information, Technology Authority;

- Registrar of Databases in the Ministry of Justice;

- Registrar of Certifying Authorities" pursuant to the Electronic Signature Act (2001).

3) Amit Ashkenazi

- Legal Counsel of the Justice, Information, Technology Authority;

- Registrar of Certifying Authorities" pursuant to the Electronic Signature Act (2001). 

Given that establishment of a comprehensive state biometric database is an uncharted territory, opposition to theBiometric Database Act (2009) in Israel has been so far focused on theoretical consideration.  

However, the experience gained in Israel, relative to implementation of the Electronic Signature Act (2001) and the new electronic records systems of the courts, provides relevant precedents.  Such precedents demonstrate: The Executive had no intention of complying with the Electronic Signature Act (2001); The Judiciary were intimately involved in the conduct related to undermining the integrity of court record in the State of Israel; The Legislative is not ready, willing, able to exert oversight - individuals fraudulently appeared and filed annual reports with the Knesset as "Registrars of Certifying Authorities", pursuant to the Act.
"Given the involvement in recent years of senior officers of all three branches of government in undermining the integrity of the justice system of the State of Israel, the only conceivable solution is in the establishment of a Truth and Reconciliation Commission," says Joseph Zernik, PhD, of Human Rights Alert.

Events that have taken place in Israel over the past decade also demonstrate that the biggest hacking risk to government data systems is from 'inside jobs' by government officials, and that no government should be trusted with constructing a biometric database.

The electronic record systems of the courts in the United States were compromised a couple of decades earlier. Today, fraud in the electronic record systems of the mamy the states (SUSTAIN) and federal (PACER, CM/ECF) courts is rampant. [10]
Corruption of the courts in the United States is most notably seen in abuse of Human Rights and failing banking regulation.  Conditions that have been established in the State of Israel pose similar risks to Human Rights and banking regulation in the State of Israel.

A North Carolina couple who were terrorized by a police officer who had recently returned from Iraq are now fighting back, after sheriff's deputy Brian Scarborough broke into their house, assaulted them and then arrested the Kuhns for the crime of flying an upside down U.S. flag.
Mark and Deborah Kuhn of Asheville, North Carolina made headlines last week when they were arrested for flying an upside down U.S. flag, a commonly recognized sign of distress, in their backyard, after police claimed they were violating a statute for "desecration of the flag".
As is supported by the United States Flag Code as well as a similar incident in 2001, flying the flag upside down is not a mark of disrespect, and in fact is considered by many to be the highest form of patriotism.
However, since 9/11 there have been several cases where individuals have been harassed, intimidated and even arrested for inverting the flag, by those who confuse a love of government with a love of country.
Buncombe County Sheriff’s deputy Brian Scarborough had just returned from Iraq and according to the Deborah Kuhn, was sent by his staff Sergeant from the local National Guard to "deal with" the Kuhns after a local resident complained about the flag, a fact that was later admitted on TV news. A National Guard soldier in military fatigues had also previously visited the Kuhn's to harass them about the flag.
"This is a distress signal, we're not trying to desecrate the flag," Kuhn told Scarborough when he told the couple they were violating a statute. Police claimed the messages attached to the flag were the problem, but the notes merely pointed out that the upside down flag represented a distress signal and a warning that the country was in danger.
Even though Kuhn took the flag down, the officer immediately demanded that the couple show their ID's and when they refused told them to put their hands behind their back and was about to arrest them before the couple shut and locked the door.
Scarborough then proceeded to kick the door in, "And the next thing we know, the glass is flying, he unlocks the deadbolt and he comes into our house after us," Kuhn told The Alex Jones Show.
The officer then pursued Mark Kuhn through the house before intercepting him in the kitchen and putting him in a choke hold.
Deborah Kuhn called 911 to report that the officer had broken into the home and was assaulting her husband.
The officer then pulled out pepper spray to which Mark Kuhn responded, "Are you going to spray me in my house?" before Scarborough whipped out his billy club and the Kuhn's ran out of the house into the street, pleading for help from their neighbors.
"Nine police cars showed up, they whipped out the Tasers, they said 'get down we're gonna Taser you' added Kuhn.
The couple were handcuffed, arrested and bundled into a squad car, to the protests of numerous neighbors who demanded to know why the Kuhns were being incarcerated, but were told to leave by police.
Contradicting the police's account of the incident, that Buncombe County Sheriff’s deputy Brian Scarborough was injured when the Kuhn's slammed the door on his hand, Deborah Kuhn vehemently maintains that Scarborough smashed the glass of their door with his bare fist before breaking in, a description which is backed up by three other eyewitnesses, one of which appeared on TV later that day.
The Kuhn's are now also being charged with "assault on a government employee" - meaning that the new definition of assault is if a police officer cuts his hand by breaking into your house and putting you in a choke hold - you have assaulted him.
Scarborough claims that Deborah Kuhn slapped him while she was on the phone to the police, but the audio file of the call (listen here) clearly contradicts this.
They each face over a year in prison.
The Kuhn's case is similar in many ways to that of Kelly Rushing, a man from Lyon County Kentucky, who was arrested and charged for handing out videotapes of Ron Paul videos to police officers. Rushing was later found not guilty of the offence of "terroristic threats" but continues to be harassed by police.
It also mirrors the case of an Alabama man, who was arrested in 2004 for displaying a sign in his yard that read "Our Courts System is a Joke," under the pretext that it was illegal to criticize the authorities.
We are encouraging our listeners and readers to call the following number and remind the officials concerned that this is not Russia or Nazi Germany, and that officer Scarborough's conduct was shameful and an insult to everything America is supposed to stand for.
Scarborough's experience in Iraq of kicking down doors and taking innocent people to camps is not something that should be brought back to America, and the charges against the Kuhns should be dropped immediately along with a formal apology issued.

Let's start with a bomb. Over 10 days ago a new brand of coup d'etat took place in Paraguay against elected president Fernando Lugo. It was virtually unnoticed by global corporate media.

Anything unexpected? Not really. A March 2009 cable from the US Embassy in Asuncion, revealed by WikiLeaks, [1] had already detailed how oligarchs in Paraguay were busy devising a "democratic coup" in congress to depose Lugo.

At the time, the US embassy noted political conditions were not ideal for a coup. Key among the plotters was former president Nicanor Duarte (2003 to 2008), severely bashed by progressive South American governments for having allowed US Special Forces in Paraguayan soil to conduct "educational courses," "domestic peacekeeping operations" and "counter-terrorism training."

This US Special Forces drive was happening decades after "one of our bastards," notorious dictator-general Alfredo Stroessner (in power from 1954 to 1989) had allowed the set-up of a giant US-owned semi-clandestine landing strip near the Argentina-Brazil-Paraguay Triple Border -- later to become part of the war on drugs, and then the war on terror.

So it's a no-brainer which was the first government to recognize last Friday's coup plotters in Paraguay: the United States of America.

From June 30th to July 4th, 2012, Occupy movement activists and supporters will gather in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the first Occupy National Gathering. This event is the culmination of months of organizing and consensus-building by countless activists from across the country. It has been endorsed by Occupy General Assemblies from Wall Street to Sacramento, and Austin to Kalamazoo, providing a clear example of the movement’s disparate chapters collaborating on a massive scale.

Occupy Philadelphia and the National Gathering Working Group, which initially proposed the event, invite all people to gather on Independence Mall for five days of community and movement building culminating in a massive outdoor gathering on July 4th. National 'Occupy' to Descends on Philly July 4A group of protesters affiliated with the Occupy Wall Street movement plans to elect 876 “delegates” from around the country and hold a national “general assembly” in Philadelphia over the Fourth of July as part of ongoing protests over corporate excess and economic inequality.

The group, dubbed the 99% Declaration Working Group, said Wednesday delegates would be selected during a secure online election in early June from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories.

In a nod to their First Amendment rights, delegates will meet in Philadelphia to draft and ratify a “petition for a redress of grievances,” convening during the week of July 2 and holding a news conference in front of Independence Hall on the Fourth of July.

BREAKING: Computer Fraud in Mexican Presidential Election

BREAKING

J. Lopez Gallardo,  a Physics Professor at the University of Texas,  claims that there is a perfect "Pearson Coorelation" in the preliminary "PREP" electoral results of Mexico's Presidential election.

This means that the results do not have the random variations we would expect from the reports from actual voting,  and must have been generated by a computer simulation or algorythm.   Such correlations can be a key sign of rigged elections,  such as Iran 2009.

In the discussion on Gallardo's Twitter pages,  another professor suggests that Gallardo may have summed the data incorrectly.

The "PREP" is a preliminary,  electronic vote reporting system.  It is used to transmit voting data from Mexico's polling places on election night,  providing early results prior to a fully count.  In 2006,  there were multiple concerns that this system was manipulated to produce the appearance of a win for the right-wing candidate.  That election was later contested on multiple grounds.

Mexico's Presidency was stolen via centralized fraud in 1988,  and the same was claimed for the 2006 election.

The Truth About Julian Assange And Wikileaks

Last night I had the privilege of speaking to Christine Assange, the mother of Julian Assange who has been a reluctant hostage of a global political war among the United States, the UK, and Sweden and of all places Ecuador.

Christine was very informative and thorough in explaining the history and current events regarding the heinous manner in which her son has been treated for supporting one of the most sacred rights of man this being right to have and freely provide access to truthful information. Still, facts and information do not cover the love and concern a mother feels for her child. As a mother myself, I felt Christine's immense and intense worry for her son's safety and his life. As a citizen of the world who carries many of the same concerns we all do of political strife, injustice, world war, poverty, and economic failure, she is above all a mother. 

I respect Christine Assange for her courage and her unfailing efforts to get the truth out regarding her son and I admire her for reaching out to every single means of possible help. Mostly, I empathize with her as a mother and understand how as a parent we share on a very deep level our children's joys, their successes, the disappointment of their failures and the hurt of their pain.

I want to share and summarize what I learned from Christine. So, today I am speaking to you, the great warriors of internet justice, princes and princess for global peace, fighters of the environmental strife afflicting the world, and spiritual leaders praying for a more just world. The one million plus subscribers ofThe Hacker News and anyone else lucky enough to know that it is an inherent right of every human being to know the facts and the truth of their world.

I am asking you to take a few moments and read this article, not only to understand and then communicate the truth around the issue of Wikileaks and Julian Assange, but to share in the experience I had with Christine Assange when she brought me to understanding that the issue of her son is not about politics or process but of the one thing that binds all of us together and without it, all of our causes fail this being the right of the people to know the truth.

As she spoke of Wikileaks and information being available to the public, it became clear to me that everything we do in life, everything that we aspire towards and everything that we fight for, be it the environment, the issue of war, corruption in government, world hunger, spiritual awakening, economic balance, all tie to one word. Truth. Without the truth about the misuse of our environment, without the truth about corruption and greed, without the truth about why people suffer from hunger, without the truth about what to pray for, we are doomed.

This made me think about how truth drives us. The knowledge of the real facts around our causes is what motivates us to take action and not be complicit with wrongdoers in our everyday living. Truth forms the web of living and without it we will continue to spiral towards global destruction and oppression.

Christine talked about how very important it is to fully understand what this is all about. She is very clear that people must first educate themselves on what the facts are surrounding the persecution of Julian Assange, why this has happened, and who is behind it. 

To best convey the facts surrounding the sexual allegations from Sweden and our discussion I am providing here the content of Christine’s open letter to the Australian people on this issue.

“After the Afghan War Diary release 25/7/10 Julian visited Sweden to obtain residency and base WikiLeaks there because of the good whistle-blowing laws. The US was aware of more WikiLeaks releases to come and wrote threatening letters. Julian was warned of entrapment plans.

Woman A.A. invited Julian to speak in Sweden at a seminar about Afghanistan in mid-August 2010. Woman S.W. stated she went to the seminar to meet Julian. Both women have stated to the police and media that sex was consensual and non-violent. Exculpatory evidence (texts to friends) show women had no complaints regarding sex until finding out about each other and 100+ texts between A.A. and S.W. speak of revenge, making money and ruining Julian's reputation by going to the press.

Woman S.W. was so upset police were going to allege rape she does not finish her interview or sign her witness statement, which was then altered again without her consent. She stated she felt railroaded into making a complaint.

In Sweden, consensual non-violent sex can be legally defined as rape.

Contrary to Swedish police procedure the women's interviews were not video or audio taped and the first prosecutor, Maria Häljebo-Kjellstrand, unlawfully told the press Julian was wanted for rape. Julian was not interviewed or informed - he found out in the tabloid newspaper Expressen that he was "being hunted down for double rape". Within hours, there were millions of website hits for Assange plus rape, causing irreparable harm to Julian's reputation.

The next day after reviewing the file, Stockholm's chief prosecutor Eva Finné threw out the rape allegation. "I consider there are no grounds for suspecting he has committed rape," she said.

For the last three years, the political advisor to the Swedish Prime Minister has been Karl Rove, a notorious, disgraced former Bush administration advisor who orchestrated vicious smear campaigns against political opponents. Karl Rove is a personal friend of the Swedish Prime Minister Fredrick Reinfeldt and of the Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt.

Sweden has close ties to the US and was the major arms supplier to the US-Iraq War.

Around a week after the dropping of the rape allegation by the chief prosecutor, a politician/lawyer named Claes Borgström appealed the decision. Claes Borgström and his business partner Thomas Bodström run a thriving legal practice based on representing claimants in sex cases.

Woman A.A., Irmeli Krans (interrogating police officer of woman SW) and both Borgström and Bodström are members of the Swedish Social Democrat Party. They all stood together for elections at the same time, one month after the sex allegations were made against Julian, with one of the platforms being widening the definition of rape within consensual sex.

Woman A.A. produced new evidence for the appeal. She submitted a condom which she states Julian tore deliberately. Forensic tests showed there was no DNA evidence in the condom from either Julian or herself. Julian was not informed of the appeal and had no chance to make a submission. The appeal was successful.

Julian Did Not Flee Sweden

He remained in Sweden for five weeks seeking an interview with the new prosecutor Marianne Ny. She made excuses not to interview him and gave him permission to leave Sweden for business on September 15th (meeting with Cablegate media partners). He offered to fly back into Sweden for interview on October 9 or 10. Ny refused because it was a weekend. He offered to fly back on October 11th. Ny refused because it was too far away.

During October and November Julian stayed at the journalist's club in the UK preparing for the release of the US diplomatic cables (Cablegate). During this period, he offered to be interviewed by Marianne Ny via the normal protocol for this situation called Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) (via Skype, phone or videolink). Marianne Ny refused all offers.

Around the time of the release of Cablegate in late November, Marianne Ny issued a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) for questioning, stating that Julian had fled the country, and a public Interpol Red Notice for his arrest.

For the entire 16 months that Julian has been under house arrest in the UK, Marianne Ny has refused all his offers to be interviewed at the Swedish Embassy or in Scotland Yard. Marianne Ny has misled the Swedish and UK public by stating that she was legally not allowed to interview Julian by mutual legal assistance or in the UK. Sweden is a signatory to MLA.

Many legal people investigating the case are of the opinion that the Swedish extradition case is not bona fide but merely a holding case awaiting a US extradition.” 

You may be feeling the same concern and fear I have and it is important to note what will happen if Julian goes to Sweden. As Christine states, “There is no bail in Sweden for foreigners and he will be held in indefinite detention in a Swedish remand prison incommunicado except to Swedish lawyers and in solitary confinement.

If and when the case proceeds to trial he will be tried in secret (no media or observers) by four judges. Three of the four judges will be "lay" judges, that is, they have no legal training and are appointed by political parties.

The other alternative is that the US will immediately unseal its Grand Jury indictment against Julian and from any point that he arrives in Sweden he could be extradited to the US. Many people falsely believe that the UK would have to sign off on an onward extradition to the US. This is true, if it is by way of a normal European extradition. However, under a separate US/Swedish Bilateral Treaty, Julian can be legally rendered to the US via a component of that treaty called the Temporary Surrender Regime. This is a secret, fast-track, no-test rendition.”

After listening and comprehending what Mrs. Assange was saying, I want you to pull your chairs close and listen carefully to what I am about to say. Read the attached documents of the facts on this matter but know this: you are being duped and lied to for one reason to keep you from the truth. The United States and other countries do not want you to know their roles in driving issues of war, famine, economic collapse, environmental deterioration and other facts affecting your health and your welfare. It is as simple as that. A government wrought with corruption and no moral compass will do anything to shoot the messenger of news that will expose their fraud and deception. 

For all of Julian Assange’s efforts to bring truth and information to the world he now sits alone in the Ecuadorian Embassy in the UK after requesting asylum based on the well-founded fear of persecution, torture or death in the United States in connection with the publication of truthful information of matters of interest to the public. 

Although I will give you a plethora of ways you can help, I believe that the single most important step you can take now is to submit to the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, an email or letter stating that he must become the hero to all the people of the world by showing governments and corporations that telling the truth by releasing factual information on issues affecting all of us is the single most important act of his career. He has an opportunity to show the world that truth and justice can prevail in a fragile and tempestuous world.

Julian Assange is a lone voice against ominous and uber-powerful forces speaking for YOU! He cannot do it alone.

Let's help:
