Israeli Human Rights organization Btzelem issued the following:
The horrors in Gaza reach unbearable dimensions: Israel bombs houses on their occupant, entire families are buried under the rubble, streets are destroyed. Until now, hundreds were killed, and only over the past 24 hours dozens were added to the list of the dead, many of them women and children. The number of refugees is growing; tens of thousands people who simply have nowhere to go, and no safe place, since Gaza is under siege and bombed...

הזוועה בעזה מגיעה למימדים שכבר אי אפשר לשאת: ישראל מפציצה בתים על יושביהם, משפחות שלמות נקברות תחת ההריסות, רחובות נחרבים. עד עתה, מאות כבר נהרגו ורק ביממה האחרונה נוספו לרשימות עשרות הרוגים, רבים מהם נשים וילדים. מספר הפליטים הולך וגדל; עשרות אלפי אנשים שפשוט אין להם לאן ללכת ואין להם מקום בטוח, כי הרצועה סגורה ומופגזת.

מבחינת ישראל, כמעט כל יעד שנתפס כקשור לחמאס הוא מטרה. מבחינת חמאס, כל מקום בישראל הוא מטרה. צד אחד יורה על אזרחים ומרבית הזמן כושל במטרתו בזכות מערכת 'כיפת ברזל'. צד שני יורה על אזורים המאוכלסים בצפיפות באזרחים, עם תוצאות קטלניות בהיקפים מזעזעים. 

חמאס אינו מתיימר כלל לפעול בהתאם לכללי הלחימה. ישראל כן מתיימרת, אך מטילה על חמאס את האחריות לתוצאות מעשיה שלה – להרוגים, לפליטים, לבתים ההרוסים. אבל מעשיו הלא חוקיים של צד אחד אינם יכולים להצדיק מעשים לא חוקיים של הצד השני, ובכל אופן כל צד, ורק הוא, נושא באחריות לתוצאות מעשיו. ישראל מתהדרת במוסריות ובחוקיות של פעילותה, אבל מול המציאות המחרידה בעזה, אי אפשר עוד לקבל את השימוש הציני שעושה ישראל במונחים משפטיים כמו "מידתיות", "אבחנה" ו"חובת זהירות", שכן מונחים אלה הפכו בידיה לכלי שנועד להצדיק את המוות ואת ההרס שהיא זורעת ברצועה.

נוכח כל זאת, בצלם קורא לממשלת ישראל להפסיק לאלתר להפציץ בתים, שכונות ואזורים מיושבים ברצועת עזה.

Senator Elizabeth Warren took her fight against a rigged system to the Netroots Nation gathering in Detroit Friday morning, saying that she is fighting back, and if We the People "push back and fight hard, we can win." Outside the hall, people were passing out "Ready for Warren" hats and signs. Inside the hall, the hats and signs were everywhere. Fighting back against a rigged system was the theme of Warren's rousing speech to Netroots. She began by briefly telling the story of how the about Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) came to be. She had the idea for the agency, started talking about it, people told her it was a great idea and badly needed, but said to her, "Don't do it because the biggest banks in the country will hate it and you will lose." She said they had that half right. "They spent more than a million dollars a day for more than a year lobbying against financial reforms. But we fought back and we won. We won because you and a zillion other people across the country got in the fight. We said we the people will have this agency and we won." And now we have the CFPB and it has already returned $5 billion to people that the big financial firms tried to steal, she said.

On Tuesady, July 22, 10:06 am, there was a "Red Alert" missile attack alarm in the center of Tel Aviv where I live.

Following previous data, published by Mr Aryeh Gal, and quoted in a previous comment here, I timed this alarm.

The alarm tood about 1 min and 10 seconds, and from the start of the alarm till the end of the Iron Dome explosions and purported "successful intercept" it took less than 90 seconds.

As previously noted, such data is inconsistent with the basic facts in this matter:
1) The "Red Alert" alarm is dounded almost intantaneously with the detection of of missile launch.
2) Travel time of the missiles from Gaza to Tel Aviv is at least 5 min.
