Following a series of acquittals in outrageous public corruption cases of senior government officers, including former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, former Justice Minister Tzahi HaNegbi, former Justice Minister Meir Shitrit, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, senior State Prosecutor opines: "Judges have difficulty assigning criminal intention to public figures...".
