As has been the case in every scandal in recent years, the lines go directly to the top of the capital-government gang. That is of course the reason that law enforcement and the justice system hesitate to act against the rampant corruption in Israel.
Among those involved in the current scandal - former IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi, who is suspected of bribes giving. Ashkenazi is separately under investigation in a scandal involving a forged document, used to falsely influence the decision regarding his successor as Chief of Staff.
