12-09-16 More on State of Israel No 1 Most Wanted - a judge on the lam

A brilliant jurist, close to the legal and business elites...

Over the weekend, Haaretz daily published the full interview with former judge Dan Cohen (in Hebrew only, it fails to appear in the English version of the newspaper)
The essence of the interview:
  • Dan Cohen bitterly complains about lack of Due Process in the extradition procedures, and that the treatment he received in the courts in Peru was like any other suspect...
  • He was the youngest judge in the State of Israel, when he was appointed.
  • He was a brilliant law student, close to the elite of the Israeli judges, legal profession, and business world.
  • He is trying to portray himself as a sickly person, on the verge of death.
  • He is a good family man.
Dan Cohen's career highlights of Dan Cohen, eerily reminds me of the outline of the career of Alex Kozinski - brilliant jurist, appointed to the bench as a surprisingly young age, close to some prominent figures in the US judiciary... now involved in routine Fraud on the Court...
