The Israeli Medical Association takes a staunch stand against the Israeli government and Israeli Knesset (parliament), who intend to pass a bill that purports to legalize forced feeding of Palestinian hunger strikers. The hunger strikers are detainees, who are held for years with no trial.
The Israeli Medical Association also put all Israeli doctors on notice that it would not defend them if they are sued, pursuant to International Law, for colluding in forced feeding.
Forced feeding is deemed torture and serious violation of Human Rights.
